This was our floral exchange..I received my envelope from Patricia she lives in Belgium..and I just love it.. she did a wonderful job in her stitching and finishing.

I stitched my envelope for Brenda and she lives in Germany..This was another successful exchange everyone received a lovely envelope..

Yard sale finds

Look at all the great stuff I got Thursday and Friday and didn't spend over $10.00..Oh darn I forgot to put in the little bottle of old buttons I got.It doesn't take much to make me happy..I really had a great time..

No theme mail art exchange

We had a no theme mail art exchange and this is the envelope I received from Sandy yesterday.It is so pretty ..The stitches are so tiny .Sandy does beautiful stitching and finishing..I was so happy to get a mail art from her.I also love the fabric she used to line the envelope..I put this envelope on an easel and have it sitting on my old jelly cupboard and it makes me smile every time I look at it.Thank-you again Sandy..Your envelope made my day..

floral mail art exchange

We are doing a floral mail art exchange in our group and I would like to invite anyone interested in mail art to come on over and sign up for this exchange.On the right side of my blog is the place to click on to join..I will be giving names out this Sunday March 22 and the mail out date will be June 1st..You can mail earlier if you want but the last day to mail for this exchange would be June 1st.The only thing I ask is please don't join unless you can fulfill your commitment..We had a defaulter in a recent exchange and she wouldn't answer e-mails at all so of course someone didn't receive an envelope after she worked hard stitching an envelope for someone else.These are a lot of fun..

We had 4 inches of snow this weekend..I have had enough..Spring please hurry and get here..I LOVE you..you are my favorite time of the year..

Valentine mail art exchange

Today I received my mail art from Lillie in Malaysia..It is so pretty.I love the fabric she lined it with and the bow on the front is the perfect touch..She also sent me some heart stickers,2 skeins of thread,a post card from Malaysia which was a real treat as I collect postcards and this is my first from Malaysia..Also notice the handmade card it is so pretty.I wish you all could see it in person.Lillie did an amazing job on the card..Receiving Lillie's mail art today sure made my day ..I only wish that the valentine mail art I stitched would find it's way to the person I stitched for..

True Virtue Update

O.K. Here is my update..I stitched 2 apples on the tree then worked on the steps and the bottom front of the house..It's not much but it's more than I have been doing..The weather here has been so nice.I just can't stay inside..I've been soaking up that warm beautiful sun..Today is a rain day and I have a lot of running to do..Wish I could just stay home and stitch..Hope everyone has a great day.

Finally framed and my wreath

This has been a wonderful weekend..I spent most of the day Friday and Saturday on the patio..We even cooked out both days..It was so good to be outside and enjoy the sunshine..I was really getting grumpy from being in the house so much.

I finally framed this Prairie Schooler and I have it hanging on the wall as you enter the front door..It's not the best framing job by far but it will pass..I made bows out of gingham and tied them on my grapevine wreath for something country..The little sign that says simplify is something I picked up at a yard sale..Now I am off to fix some supper then work some more on true virtue..I have made a little progress and will have a update tomorrow..Pictures are clickable ..

I know my college boy really was bored during Christmas break when I found these on the camera..Poor Merriweather she is such a good sport..I bet she was glad to see him go back to school ..I guess I need to put my Play-Doh up next time..

Valentine Mail Art Exchange

I'm getting nervous.I sent my envelope out on Jan.10 and the person I sent to still hasn't received it..I know she doesn't read this blog so I feel safe in posting a picture..The second picture was scanned and didn't turn out very well.When I go to the post office and get the stamps I always take a picture then..This time I got to take one picture of the front..The memory card was full and did I know how to delete the old pictures off ..Of course NOT I never read the operating instructions in the book that came with the camera.I am looking forward to the next exchange it is a no theme exchange so we get to stitch whatever we want.

Winter Mail Art Exchange

Look at the beautiful mail art I received today in our winter exchange..The windows in the house were done in metallic and it looks like a light is on in the house..The snowflakes sparkle too..I LOVE the snowman she stitched on the back.I love snowmen..The snowflake button is perfect for this envelope.Look close at the ribbon it has little snowmen on it..How neat is that..She also made me a snowman bookmark ..I couldn't believe this was the first envelope she ever stitched as she really did an outstanding job on the stitching and putting her envelope together..
